I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
These life regrets can range from the romantic: “Why didn’t I try to talk to her when I had the chance?” To the practical: “Why didn’t I try to learn a second language knowing that speaking English only is going out like Ecko Clothing?” To the ones of great importance: “Maybe I shouldn’t have cursed out that bill collector trying to help me.”
If there’s one thing you can do to avoid a long list of regrets, it’s make the most of the time that you have, while you have it. A good way to make sure that happens is to create a bucket list. The list can come in a variety of forms. It can be on a simple piece of paper or a note pad, you can type it out on a computer, or even save it in your Smartphone. There are also sites that offer sample worksheets for you to tweak as you please.
Even the famous folk make lists (heck, they made a movie about them, too). A while back, Beyoncé revealed to Ellen DeGeneres items from a list of things she wanted to do in her lifetime, like take ballet and learn Arabic (you can bet that at least one of these things she’ll be doing without the Jigga man). If a woman who can dip it, pop it, twirk it and stop it to multi-millionaire mini-mogul status can make time for a list, why can’t you?
Yes, the idea of making a list and checking it twice harkens to the fat man who wants a non-sexual lap dance at Christmas, but the guy was on to something. Preparation is just as important for mental activities as it is for physical ones.
So what should go on the list? It all depends on what you feel will most make you happy, so long as it doesn’t lead to someone bailing you out of jail. The same can be said of doing something that could leave you with Kim Kardashian’s reputation (ain’t that Brandy’s brother) but not her bank account.
Your list can include simple things like taking a class outside of your graduation scheme, doing charity work, or pledging a fraternity or sorority while in college. You can also make a vow to play the role of tourist and really get to know the city you’re living in – something plenty of people fail to do. On the non-academic tip, why not plan a spur-of-the-moment trip that includes doing the Dougie on the top of a bar (or at least a pop lock in the parking lot)…you know, just for fun?
On the professional tip, maybe you want to be certain you have lunch with the head of your company, or collect a specific number of references – which will help set you on the glorious path of business success (and out of your mama’s house), before you leave the company. You could even attempt to intern for every company that you admire before you graduate (hey you just may end up working full-time at one of these companies this way).
The key to this list thing is to put a plan against whatever you feel will be memorable, help you evolve, and most of all make you happy. You want to look back at this time in your life and say that you did your best to live life to the fullest. A great quote that embodies this is, “No one plans to mess up their life, they just don’t plan not to either.”
So make a list, check it twice, and live it up. U DEFINE SUCCESS

Heyy
Is it alright if I go a bit off the topic? I am trying to read this post on my new Macbook but it won’t display correctly (a few of the buttons are half covered), do you have any recommendations? Should I try and find an update for my browser or something? Thank you for the help I hope! Laureen x
Honestly, this is – by far – the best post quality web design I have ever seen. I’d love to say something insightful or beneficial to other readers here, but I can’t think of anything. Great work!
